A lengthy, complex work for orchestra (written so that it works well with smaller and larger orchestras equally) that features a jazz trio of trumpet, upright bass, and drum set, this piece is a musical storytelling of the myth of the Native American trickster spirit Iktomi and their multi-faceted forms, personalities, and emotions. Characterized by sudden changes and differing styles, "Iktomi" is great as a feature work for the ensemble and the trio alike. Great for collegiate and professional ensembles.

Legend (2014)

"Legend" is an epic story of epic dynamic proportions, where the solo bassoon acts as both narrator and main characters in the adventure. Amplifying the bassoon allows the instrument to perform in a way not commonly used by most composers, since the delicate nature of the instrument usually restricts writers to a very limited dynamic, orchestrational, and aural set of musical choices. Amplifying the soloist allows them to reach colors and combinations in "Legend" that are new and exciting. Lyrically demanding, with some technical involvement for the bassoon solo, and easily playable by college and professional ensembles alike.

Maǧážu ("Rain") (2018)
